The topic of my presentation

Image
In my presentation I will talk about the perception of the animals, but not just any kind of animals but it I will speak of those that are directly or indirectly inserted in certain cultures as companion, sacred or consumption animals. Regarding this, my position is that animals have categories and are perceived differently due to the enculturation processes that occur in each culture. Although these processes are imperceptible to the majority of the population, they are also fundamental given that they give in the first socialization of human beings by shaping and modifying the conceptions  they have about animals. This theme is mainly supported by examples, such as: the worldview on cow in Latin America and India. In the first, it is perceived as a consume animal and is naturalized through songs, advertisements, family, etc. In contrast, in the second it is perceived as a sacred animal due to religious teachings and stories. My favorite piece of technology

Image
Hello, again! In this opportunity I will talk about the technology, specifically my favorite piece: the cellphone. I depend a lot of this gadget, so much so that I feel it like an extension of my arm and mind. I know that sounds really extreme, but let me explain you why I think that.  In the first place, it is a little and skinny object, so I can carry it with me every time. Second, I am really distracted and forgetful. For this reason, I need something to help me remember dates, events, among other things. Besides, I can check my e-mails,  homeworks and documents that upload in "u-cursos", my social networks, chat with my friends and family, listen to music and more. Although, I know that useing it so much time is harmful and vicious, I would be a disaster without my phone at the university and my personal life. Even, I try to use it meassuredly and only when it is necessary.  Bye, see you soon! Pd: A picture that was on my phone.

Why I decided to study Anthropology

Image
When I was a child, I was undecided about what I wanted to study. I changed of opinion every day: one day I wanted to be a teacher and the next I wanted to be a professional singer. In other words, I never felt in conformity with the idea of study only a one career. Over the years, my indecision grew up and, naturally, the pressure of my family and friends.   Once I finished the high-school, I wanted to study Anthropology; likewise, Pedagogy in history.  I wasn't certain about what is the correct for me and my formation. However, I finally chose Anthropology because I started to feel that I had a kinship with the topics respective to the discipline.  Actually, my life at the faculty has been funny and interesting. Besides, I learned too much about this career and my classmates. I want to learn more.  About the picture:  It's me on my last day of school. Bye, see you soon!
